About Us
IGL Surveying Ltd was established in March 1992 by Robert Innocent, Brent Gaskell, and John Lynn.
The three all coming from a background in Building Surveying and construction consultancy, they established their own company to provide a high level of service to many long standing clients around Stockport, Greater Manchester and the North West. They continued this successfully for the next 30 years.
IGL established themselves as a leading consultant for social housing providers in the North West but also served other clients such as the Salvation Army, insurance providers, commercial and residential property owners.
In 2022 the three founders moved towards retirement and the long standing employees of Ian Dootson and Robert Baines took over the ownership of the IGL Surveying Ltd. Having been part of the team for 26 & 10 years respectively they were well versed in the IGL standards and so considered the ideal new owners to continue the high standards they had been a part of to date.
As part of this transition, the main office relocated to Blackburn but Ian & Rob continue to provide the same high levels of service throughout the North of England and beyond where required.
